Allston Man Arrested and Charged with Methamphetamine Trafficking.

Learn more about the consequences of methamphetamine trafficking charges

An Allston man has been arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Peter Schiepers, a 32-year-old Allston man, has also been accused of trafficking ketamine and Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), also known as the “date rape drug.” Methamphetamine distribution charges can result in up to 20 years in federal prison, substantial fines of up to $1 million, and at least 3 years and up to a lifetime of supervised release. Federal prosecutors take methamphetamine distribution cases seriously, and anyone facing similar charges should seek immediate legal representation.

According to court documents, Schiepers was the subject of a months-long federal investigation. Between November 2024 and February 2025, law enforcement conducted multiple controlled purchases through a cooperating source. On November 25, 2024, Schiepers allegedly sold an ounce of methamphetamine and a vial of Butanediol (BDO), a GHB analogue, to the source. He then allegedly conducted another sale from his Allston residence on December 16, 2024, this time supplying 111 grams of 100% pure methamphetamine and approximately one gram of ketamine. A third transaction took place in January 2025, where Schiepers allegedly provided another ounce of methamphetamine and one liter of BDO, which he claimed to have received in Chinese shampoo bottles.

In addition to methamphetamine, Schiepers is accused of trafficking Schedule I and Schedule II drugs GHB and ketamine. GHB is a drug that is punished severely as it is frequently linked to criminal activities such as drug-facilitated sexual assault. As a Schedule I drug, it carries some of the most severe penalties under the law. Ketamine, a Schedule II substance, is also heavily controlled due to its potential for abuse. Anyone charged with distributing these substances faces a high risk of harsh sentencing.

Schiepers was not prosecuted for the additional allegations, however the charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine by itself is an extremely serious charge with life-changing consequences. The government aggressively prosecutes methamphetamine cases, especially when large quantities are involved. When federal charges are on the table, defendants must prepare for a rigorous legal battle, making it imperative to retain a skilled drug trafficking attorney with experience in federal drug cases.

According to authorities, Schiepers expressed confidence in his cybersecurity background and encryption tools such as anonymizing tools to mask his IP address, and gave instructions to buyers to communicate through the encrypted messaging app Signal, as well as shipping drugs to anonymous locations like hotels and convenience stores. Law enforcement agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the U.S. Postal Inspectors, and local authorities, have the resources and expertise to track and prosecute those involved in illegal drug distribution, regardless of their technical knowledge. Authorities are increasingly encroaching on the dark web activities of alleged criminals.

If you or someone you know is facing federal drug trafficking charges for a schedule I or II drug, it is critical to act quickly. The penalties for distributing these substances are severe, and federal prosecutors are relentless in their pursuit of convictions. A skilled defense attorney can challenge the government’s evidence, question the legality of law enforcement procedures, and build a strong defense strategy.
