       Joseph F. Hennessey, a trial lawyer and veteran investigator, concentrates his practice at Dhar Law, LLP in civil and criminal litigation, white-collar investigations and complex personal injury matters in state and federal courts.  Prior to joining the firm, Joe maintained a litigation practice in Boston for many years, before which he was a partner in the Metrowest firm of Defilippis, Kaldis, & Hennessey, LLP.  He serves as a regular panel member at statewide MCLE seminars.

      Joe has tremendous white-collar investigative experience as a former Senior Global Investigator for a Fortune 500 Company, where he directed internal investigations and corporate compliance programs at 220 worldwide corporate offices, often working in tandem with the FBI and Irish Garda.  His areas of expertise included multi-million dollar conversions and embezzlement, cybercrime and computer fraud, industrial espionage and theft of trade secrets.

         Prior to practicing law, Joe served in law enforcement for over two decades, and as a detective, Joe excelled in investigating financial crimes, including bank fraud cases.  His multi-year investigation into a Lynn, Massachusetts man resulted in high-profile convictions in a multi-million dollar bank fraud scheme spanning across 15 states.  Over the course of his stellar law enforcement career, Joe underwent training by the Massachusetts State Police, Criminal Justice Training Council and the FBI in homicide investigations, narcotics investigations, fingerprint recovery and analysis, and served as a certified sexual assault investigator.  He attended numerous training classes in OUI enforcement techniques and field sobriety testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  Joe also worked undercover for seven years with three inter-agency task forces, including the DEA, ATF, Attorney General’s office and various CPAC units.
