Dhar Law, LLP prevailed this week in defending a woman that was placed into deportation proceedings in 2010 by the Department of Homeland Security. The government's allegations included undocumented presence in the U.S. and other grounds of removability. Our client, a South Korean mother of two young children, was deemed "subject to removal from the United States" in proceedings before the Boston Immigration Court. Despite her marriage to a U.S. citizen, our client required a hardship waiver under the Immigration & Nationality Act in order to adjust her status to that of a Legal Permanent Resident.
